The space in your divan base offers very useful storage space. There is a wide range of drawer options available nowadays.

The most common option is four full drawers and provides the largest amount of storage.
If you have bedside cabinets or a unit that offers storage cabinets above the bed, then a Continental drawer option may suit. Continental means the two drawers at the top of the bed are not so wide so that you can open them without colliding with the bedside cabinets or unit.
Two drawer options are becoming more popular and provide two large drawers at the bottom end of the divan.
The end drawer option can be very useful where space either side of your bed is limited. The end drawer is a single, but wider drawer.
Finally there is, of course, the no drawer option.
Depending on the design, drawer fronts can be lined in matching fabric, or alternatively a plain white or cream coloured front. Generally speaking, the drawer design and fronts are set by the manufacturer.
Although drawers do provide excellent storage facilities, it is important not to overload them. Very often, manufacturers will indicate the heaviest load the drawer can take.
Bedsteads do not offer a drawer option. However, it is possible to purchase small drawers on castors which slide under the bed.
